Mission
Wetzoek used AI to make Dutch law more accessible. It aimed to help people without a legal background find context for legal questions, and provide professionals with better tools to search relevant legislation and case law.
Technology
- Neural search for semantic retrieval beyond keywords
- Multi-label classification to categorize legal texts based on exploiting the graph underpinning Dutch case law.
- Backend built with Haystack (and related NLP tooling)
Data sources
Wetzoek relied on excellent Dutch open data, including case law from rechtspraak.nl and legal code from wetten.overheid.nl .
